Stillness

So, this is what it’s about.

 

 
I told someone not long ago that I intended to make the rest of my life a full expressive therapy session, i.e. art class. Think 2nd grade, with all the supplies you can imagine and no inhibition about what you want to make. My personal favorite was self-portrait day!
 
It feels good to breathe. Slow, steady, deep breaths. I never knew that I never, ever, ever relax. Giving myself a ton of room to breathe, really, really helps.
 
Silence helps, too. I can do what I need to do with a lot of noise around, but this time of night, I can really think and relax. Now, I’m off to do some not-thinking and relaxation. I believe that is called meditation.
 
Meditation & sleep: not the same thing. Thank God for that!
